Join our grass roots campaign!Visit this
page to join the campaign by contacting your legislators and asking them to cosponsor our legislation. Information will be
updated as new cosponsors sign-on and new information is made available. This pagewill give you information on the arguments the anti-horse advocates are using to justify horse slaughter. This page will give you information on wild horses and burros and how the BLM is systematically exterminating our heritage.
~Read the anti-horse
comments on comment threads. Notice how even the slightest change to the process, such as banning double decker trailers for
horses, is met with opposition. Equine welfare is of no concern. The main concern is greed - getting paid to dump their horses
and keeping the lines moving as fast as possible.
~Arm yourself with facts,
not opinions or hearsay. Read the investigations and research the mounds of information that is available. Be informed when
you contact your legislators. Know the arguments they are using and be prepared to present the facts that dispute their claims.
Read information from both sides. Don't assume everything you read on pro-horse sites
is correct, either. Do your research and make sure you have solid facts to back any statements or data you quote.
Please help support the organizations, authors, rescues and retirement facilities that are friends
of our horses. If you are not familiar with the organization or their work, please research so you are comfortable with
supporting them before you donate money and/or time or buy their products and/or services. It should be noted that having
501(c)(3) status does not mean the organization/rescue is more reputable than a private organization/rescue. It only means
that your donation is tax deductible and their financials should be publicly available.
